Irgendwie hab ich ein leichtes Faible für Heist-Movies. Ich mag all diese gerissenen Gentleman-Gauner und ihre bis ins letzte Detail ausgetüftelten Pläne für Überfälle auf Banken, Juweliere, Casinos, Museen oder Ausstellungen, die in den aller wenigsten Fällen auf physische Gewalt zurückgreifen müssen. Idealerweise soll niemand ernsthaft zu Schaden kommen und wesentliche Bestandteile solcher Filme sind neben dem eigentlichen Verbrechen auch die präzise Planung und Vorbereitung des Ganzen sowie die Zusammenstellung des Teams aus Ganoven. Oft vertauschen Heist-Movies konventionelle Rollenverteilungen, indem sie die vermeintlichen Verbrecher zu Sympathieträgern stilisieren und die Opfer ihrer Pläne zu Verbrechern noch skrupelloserer Art, die ihr Schicksal auch verdient haben.
