Und schon wieder ist diese kleine Kategorie beinahe in Vergessenheit geraten, deshalb will ich sie nun kurz und knapp und ohne lange Umschweife fortsetzen. Bei abschließender Betrachtung dieser Liste muss ich doch feststellen: mein Filmjahr 1988 ist stark Genrefilm geprägt ausgefallen und das zieht sich quer durch Action, Horror, Drama, Science Fiction oder diesmal sogar Animation. In diesem Sinne: los geht es mit meinen Empfehlungen aus dem Jahr 1988!

Beinahe vollständig in Vergessenheit geraten geht es nun weiter mit den kleinen Jahresrückblicken. Und auch 1987 hat so einiges zu bieten, wenn das Fundament des Buddy-Movies gelegt wird, junge US-Soldaten der Verzweiflung anheim fallen, sich diverse Vampire herumtreiben, Robocop Detroit vom Abschaum befreit oder Elliott Ness Al Capone festnageln will während ein jagender Außerirdischer eine Elitetruppe Stück für Stück auseinander nimmt. Hier also zehn Empfehlungen von mir, die nicht nur 1987, sondern auch heute noch ganz wunderbar funktionieren.

Heute werfen wir mal einen Blick auf das australische Kino, welches in den letzten paar Jahrzehnten immer wieder die eine oder andere Perle hervorgebracht hat. Meist eher sträflich unbeachtet gab und gibt es einige Filmemacher, Drehbuchautoren, Schauspieler oder Musiker, mit denen sich eine Auseinandersetzung lohnt. Sei es nun jemand wie Joel Edgerton, der das schwierige Dreieck Schauspiel, Drehbuch und Regie gekonnt einzeln oder als Gesamtpaket anzugehen weiß, Nick Cave, musikalisches Genie, Schriftsteller, Drehbuchautor und Komponist in Personalunion oder die Regisseure John Hillcoat und David Michôd sowie die Schauspieler wie Ben Mendelsohn und Guy Pearce, das australische Kino hat mehr zu bieten als Mad Max und Crocodile Dundee. Insofern möchte ich euch mit dieser Liste ein paar Filme näher bringen, die jeder für sich innerhalb seines Genre sehenswert und vielleicht nicht ganz so bekannt sind.

Filme in 2017, auf die ich besonders gespannt bin

So, nachdem ich zuletzt noch einen Blick in die Vergangenheit warf und das Filmjahr 2016 kurz Revue passieren ließ, mache ich nun das genau Gegenteil davon und stelle euch ein paar Filme vor, auf die ich in 2017 besonders gespannt bin. Auch hier hagelt es wieder Blockbuster, Remakes, Reboots und Fortsetzungen in vielen großen Reihen, aber auch der eine oder andere kleinere Film ist für mich nächstes Jahr durchaus von Interesse. Allen voran bin ich sehr gespannt auf den bereits im Januar erscheinenden La La Land mit Ryan Gosling und Emma Stone in den Hauptrollen, den nach dem grandiosen Whiplash von Regisseur Damien Chazelle bin ich nun voller Vorfreude auf dessen Musical-Film. Schon die Trailer waren bezaubernd und scheinen Großes zu verkünden. Ebenfalls im Januar erwartet uns mit Split der neue Film von M. Night Shyamalan, der sich nach einer ganzen Reihe von veritablen Flops langsam wieder ein wenig zu rehabilitieren scheint. Allein das Mitwirken von James McAvoy macht dsen Film interessant und die Thematik scheint auch durchaus reizvoll. Zudem bringt Ben Wheatley nach Kill List, Sightseers und High-Rise 2017 mit Free Fire seinen vierten Film ins Kino und wer mich aufmerksam liest, der hat sicherlich schon mitbekommen, dass ich den Mann zu den aktuell besten und spannendsten „Jung“regisseuren zähle. Darüber hinaus gibt es zahlreiche große Namen und Titel, auf die ich mich für das nächste Jahr freue. Dazu zählen in jedem Fall Kong: Skull Island vom mir noch unbekannten Regisseur Jordan Vogt-Roberst und War for the Planet of the Apes von Matt Reeves, aber selbstverständlich auch die Fortsetzung von Guardians of the Galaxy ebenso wie der hoffentlich vom Erfolg des R-Rated Deadpool profitierende Logan, dem dritten Teil aus der Wolverine-Reihe. Star Wars Episode VIII wird uns Ende des Jahres beglücken (?) und mehr liefern müssen als Fan-Service und Retro-Feeling, ebenso darf Denis Villeneuve Blade Runner 2049 realisieren und einen meiner absoluten Lieblingsfilme fortsetzen. Was mir bei jedem anderen Regisseur den Angstschweiß auf die Stirn treiben würde, halte ich bei Villeneuve für gut aufgehoben. Und nachdem vor kurzem der erste Red Band-Trailer für Alien: Covenant veröffentlicht wurde, rückt auch der neue Film von Ridley Scott nun noch mehr in meinen Fokus als bisher, ist der Trailer doch ziemlich beeindruckend geraten. Vieles interessantes ist für 2017 angekündigt und einiges davon dürfte im Laufe des Jahres sicher auch an Anziehungskraft einbüßen, aber die Hoffnung auf gute Filme stirbt ja bekanntlich zuletzt. Und nun Schluss mit dem Gerede, es ist Zeit für die Liste….
