Anlässlich der jüngsten Neuerwerbung in meiner Sammlung, dem 251 minütigen Extended Cut von Es war einmal in Amerika, gibt es heute meine zehn liebsten Gangsterfilme. Der Film Heat hat es mir etwas schwer gemacht, ist er doch zu gleichen Teilen Gangsterfilm und Copthriller und dadurch etwas schwierig zu klassifizieren, weshalb in absehbarer Zeit eine eben solche Liste mit Copthrillern folgen wird.

Meine zehn liebsten „Mindfuck“ – Filme

So, liebe Leute. Anlässlich meines letzten Filmgenusses, der reichlich prägend war und an dieser Stelle auch noch entsprechend gewürdigt werden wird, hier mal eine kleine Liste meiner liebsten Vertreter des „Mindfuck“ – Genre. Filme also, die den Zuschauer bewusst und gekonnt durch verschiedenste Techniken in die Irre führen und, idealerweise erst am Schluss, etwas offenbaren, das nahezu vollkommen überrascht und nicht unbedingt vorhersehbar war. Oft zeichnen sich solche Filme dadurch aus, dass man sie auch dann noch öfter sehen kann, wenn die Auflösung bereits bekannt ist, sogar gerade dann, denn dadurch verlagert sich der Blickwinkel des Zuschauers und es werden Kleinigkeiten und Details entdeckt, die vorher nicht wahrgenommen wurden. Allerdings dient der Begriff „Mindfuck“ weniger als eigenes Genre, sondern eher als Effekt oder Stilmittel, und taucht auch in anderen Bereichen wie Literatur, Theater oder Bildende Kunst auf. Aus Ermangelung an Alternativen nutze ich aber diese Bezeichnung… außerdem mag ich das Wort irgendwie.

Diese Liste ist allerdings im Gegensatz zu meinen Lieblingsfilmen wertend, das heißt, ich beginne mit Platz 10 und arbeite mich dann zur Nummer 1 vor.

Meine 10 Lieblingsfilme

Hier mal eine Liste meiner 10 Lieblingsfilme. Ich schreibe bewusst nicht Die 10 besten Filme aller Zeiten (das wäre auch ziemlich anmaßend, oder?), denn es gibt sicher Filme, die qualitativ besser sind als die zehn in dieser Liste, aber für mich haben sie einfach einen sehr persönlichen Stellenwert. Ich habe jeden einzelnen von ihnen unzählige Male gesehen, wenn es mir schlecht ging oder wenn ich krank war oder in jeder anderen erdenklichen Lebenslage, und ich kann sie vermutlich mitsprechen. Ich versinke regelrecht in ihnen und blende alles andere aus.

Ausnahmsweise möchte ich keine konkrete Reihenfolge aufstellen, diese Filme existieren für mich gleichberechtigt nebeneinander und es würde keinem von ihnen ernsthaft gerecht werden. Wie immer sind Kommentare ausdrücklich erwünscht, eigene Listen wären sogar noch schöner!
