Meine zehn liebsten Neo-Western
Nach dem erneuten Anschauen eines meiner Lieblingsfilme, nämlich dem großartigen No Country for Old Men von den Coen-Brüdern, kam mir der Gedanke zu dieser Liste. Der Neo-Western ist nicht zu verwechseln mit dem zeitgenössischen Western, einer Art modernes Update des klassischen Western, Filme also wie beispielsweise Open Range, The Unforgiven, True Grit oder 3:10 to Yuma. Der Neo-Western hingegen bedient sich zwar auf offensichtliche Art und Weise an erzählerischen Strukturen, Motiven und Mechanismen des klassischen Western, verfrachtet diese aber in ein völlig anderes Setting, sei es vielleicht die moderne Großstadt oder gar das Weltall. In jedem Fall enstehen in diesem Spannungsfeld immer mal wieder ausgesprochen gute und spannende Filme und meine liebsten zehn davon stelle ich euch nun mit dieser Liste vor. Viel Spaß damit!
